Iran in New York
Brief comments from Mike Peters, September 25, 2012
In the lobby of my hotel in New York City, today I looked into the faces of 21st century Hitlers. I am surrounded by members of the Iranian delegation to the United Nations. These delusional demon-possessed diplomats are boasting of their prowess here just a stone’s-throw away from the site of the 9/11 attacks. As I see their radical commitment to evil, I understand how millions of my people—including one million Jewish children—were slaughtered in the Holocaust.
I’ve heard them say, “We know who you are!” but I am not afraid. There are more than 100 Iranian ministers and aides and diplomats here. There is a mighty spiritual battle taking place, and it can only be won in the spirit realm. That’s why I need you to pray today for my strength and wisdom and protection.
The world lacked the courage in Hitler’s day to stand up to evil while there was still time to stop it. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has repeatedly called for Israel to be “wiped off the map.” This is not hyperbole…it is an honest expression of his great desire. Today he will stand before the world—on Yom Kippur—and again spew forth his hatred toward Israel. I am here as your ambassador to stand for Israel and the truth and to cry out to the world and sound the trumpet of alarm. Iran’s evil plan must be stopped before it is too late.
